In order to guarantee the security of your credit card or bank transfer payment, we ask that you use Paypal to pay your registration fee. Paypal requires that you open a VERIFIED membership account in order to pay using a credit card. Although Paypal claims that membership is “free,” there is a small one-time “membership fee” of US $1.95 required to activate credit card functionality on your account. We apologize in advance for the steps required – this is done to ensure a secure registration process. In order to open a VERIFIED account, see below:
To open a Personal
Account with PayPal, please follow these steps:
1. Visit https://www.paypal.com on the Internet.
2. Click the "Sign Up" button in the upper, right-hand corner of the
screen. This will take you to the one-page registration form.
3. Fill out the form.
4. Click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the page. You will be taken
to a new page.
5. Follow the directions to confirm your email address. Once you confirm
your email address, which validates your account.
6. VERFIYING your account
a.
The
confirmation process can take 3 to 4 days
b. Paying by credit card:
i. Provide Paypal with your credit card number
ii. Paypal will charge $1.95 to your credit card account in order to process the registration.
iii. On your paper credit card statement or on your electronic credit card bill, Paypal will provide you with a 4 digit “membership number”
iv. Log in again to your Paypal account and click on the “verify account” or “unverified” link.
v. Input the membership number as required – you are now ready to pay your BDRM membership fee.
vi. Return to BDRM page and follow the instructions for paying your membership fee using Paypal.
c. Paying via bank transfer:
i. Input the required information for your bank account
ii. Paypal will send you two small deposits into your account between $0.01 and $0.99. Call your bank to verify the amount of these deposits.
iii. Login to your unverified Paypal account and click on the “verify account” or “unverified” link.
iv. Input the amount of the test deposits into the required field and submit.
v. Your account is now verified. Login to the BDRM registration site and follow the instructions for paying using Paypal.
If you are
experiencing problems opening a PayPal Account,
please confirm
the following:
1. All of the Contact Information is entered and valid.
a. All fields are required, except for your work phone.
b. If your address is not being accepted, you may access www.usps.com (US postal addresses only) and confirm that it is exactly the same.
2. Your email address is entered exactly the same in both boxes.
a. A valid email address must include the "@" symbol and end with a "dot" com, net, edu, etc. (Ex: yourname@email.com). Please note: There are no spaces in an email address.
3. Your password must be entered exactly the same in both boxes. Please note: Passwords are case sensitive, must be at least 8 characters, and contain no spaces. Also, make sure that your CAPS LOCK is not on when you set your password.
4. You must select 2 different security questions and enter an answer for each one.
5. Security characters must be entered exactly as they appear. Please ensure that zeroes (0) are not being entered for the letter "O".
6. If the security grid is not showing, please refer to the following helpful hints:
a. Ensure that you are using 128-bit encryption for your browser.
b. If you see a red "x" where the picture should be, right-click on
the "x". In the menu that pulls up, select "Show Picture".
Note: (Mac users cannot right click and should put their cursor over
the red "x", hold the control button down and click the mouse. A drop-down
menu will appear; select "Load Image".)
c. If you have speakers, you can click on the "Help?" link next to
the security grid and listen to the security characters.
7. If you are using the "Personal Account" sign up page, please select
"Yes" or "No" to the "Would you like this to be a Premier Account?"
question.
8. You will need to check the provided box to indicate that you have read
and agree to the User Agreement.

Please note: All missing or incorrect information will be highlighted in

For security reasons, the password and password confirmation boxes will
need to be re-entered. Those fields will also appear in red, even if the
password was entered correctly on previous attempts to sign up.
