Eating Establishments

Chicago has some wonderful restaurants in all price ranges. The following guides will help you out. You may want to make your reservations early.

Three new (but expensive) restaurants are particularly noteworthy: Erawan (729 N. Clark St.; 312-642-6888), a high end Thai restaurant; and Spring (2039 W. North Ave.; 773-395-7100), a new Asian-inspired American restaurant; and Kevin (9 W. Hubbard; 312-595-0055), a new Asian-inspired French restaurant. Kevin is a very short walk from Gleacher. Erawan is a long walk from Gleacher. Spring is a 10 minute cab ride away.

Sunday Activities

We are not planning on organizing any formal activities, but we suggest taking the Architectural River Cruise. It is a wonderful way to see Chicago's magnificent architecture. There are departures at 11 am, noon, 1 pm, 2 pm, and 3 pm, a 5 minute walk from the Gleacher Center. The cost is $23. You may want to book early, as the cruises tend to sell out. You can book online at Ticketmaster.

There are also cruises on weekdays at 11 am, 1 pm, and 3 pm, if you arrive early on Thursday. The weekday cost is $21.

You may also be interested in the Blues Festival in Grant Park (Thursday through Sunday). More information is available here.
